--show problem

hi, 

i'm using latest version of hashcat and cudahashcat which is ver 2 and have problem with --show option 

first when i use hahscat and --show option it say 

no pot file hashcat.pot no file or directory found 

and when i use it in cuda hashcat it show as attached photo please help me with command line i have hash file with format [email:hash] i need the output cracked file like this [email:cracked pass] and remove non cracked hashes 

my command line is

Password Cracker - Enterprise Constraints

I work for a large Fortune 100 company that has recently invested a TON of money into beefing up its security function.  As such, I was brought on to be a lead member in the penetration testing team.  Amongst the many capabilities we are asked to have, password cracking is one.  Performing similar functions at other companies, we were given free rein to procure the pieces and parts necessary to build the ultimate cracking machine.  This new company does (as I’ve been told) ‘millions of dollars a year with HP’, and as such are requiring us to buy all of our hardware from them due to existing negotiations over support and pricing.  While this wasn’t ideal, I figured I could at the very least mix and match hardware from the enterprise and consumer lines to still build something solid enough.  In my most recent conversation, I was told that HP’s Enterprise and consumer lines are completely separate, and that all hardware must be from the enterprise offerings and be ordered to usable spec.  Once again, not the answer I wanted.  I need to get a proposal together very soon to build the best password cracker I can from the options provided, but these all being enterprise-grade cards I honestly have very little data from which to research. I am hoping the experts on these forums (yeah, I’m looking to guys like you epixoip for help) can help me put together the best rig from my options.  Then maybe, someday, I can convince the higher-ups to let me swap out these high-cost low performance cards for the much more logical low-cost, high performance consumer cards.  Here are my options and the number of cards the boxes can support (please refrain from negative commentary -- i know they are great cards if I were an actuary, haha).  I really appreciate everyone’s input!

This is the MSI GT80 Titan with stock config dual GTX980Ms. Not too shabby for a laptop. Seems to be just a tad slower than a stock single Titan and beats out a desktop 980ti.

First of all: thank you very much for open sourcing (ocl)hashcat!

I'd like to add a new algorithm. Is there some kind of quick tutorial available? A very simple example would be highly appreciated, e.g. adding a algorithm that takes a unsalted fixed limited length input and just checks if the brute forced candidate password matches the hash or copying an existing algorithm with a new hash type number: what needs to be edited and added where following which rules? E.g. @switch (hash_mode), what is what?

Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to revert a password.

I know the password is stored using an php routine like this:

$key = 'fixed_key_i_know';  // this is not real key

$user_md5_password = md5($key . $input_password);

for instance, if input_password is 123456, the md5 will be e86ab642c6f2d9987499776f1dc12f8f.

I know the key and hashed password, can hashcat help me with discover that? maybe with mask "fixed_key_i_know?d?d?d?d?d?d?"  ???

Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to revert a password, I know the salt code and format:

SALT = GVph--------  57 lenght salt   -----------------erBB7Q0a

I know the PHP is storing passwords on the database using the same salt always, in this format:

<?php   $pass = md5($salt . $input_password); ?>

$input_password is at least 5 alphanumeric.

so, the total length will start from 62.

the password should not be more then 8 chars length, but I can't run HashCat due to this limitation.

I've just made a test with a password I know, and hashcat was not able to find it.

Hello everyone,

I read somewhere in hak5 forums of someone using a laptop to capture/probe/listen, export it via USB flash drive, and import and process on the desktop for cracking.

My question is:
Instead of export/import via USB flash drive, is there a way to relay the captured data wirelessly (via email maybe?) and remotely control the desktop for on-the-fly cracking?

OR

I know Epixoip bought a Clevo laptop w/ a GTX 970m, which is half the speed of GTX 980 (and I'm sure Epixoip has a beast desktop as well), but if I went with this route, do you think a GTX 970m is sufficient enough?



I would love to freelance (with written permission of course) to start cracking small businesses. From the experienced, how tough is it to crack small- medium- large- enterprises? And would a mobile gpu suffice? I recently bought a thinkpad T450s w/ i5 5200 w/ Intel 5500 integrated gpu, and I'm thinking about returning it (unless I build a desktop w/ dedicated gpu) for a better spec laptop. Being that oclhashcat is superior vs hashcat, there is no point in getting an i7 I think, as oclhashcat ran in a inferior dedicated gpu would still be better than cracking via cpu.

If the veterans can share your wisdom, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Hello everyone. I have been trying over and over to find this out, but I can't, so I decided to ask for help.

I got a user:pass list to crack I extract the passwords to a .txt file, in a specific order to match with the usernames. When I finish cracking, and it saves on the .pot file, it lists as alphabetic mode, instead of the way it was supposed to be.

How to save it as the same way it was?

I started command power kable out command is work but i put power cable my pc i see temperature limit on gpu 1 reached but gpu 65 -70c how can i fix this problem my os windows 10 and gpu gtx860m
