Identify hash

$

Hello everyone,

I'm having some troubles to identify an hash that follows this pattern (I redacted it as requested by the rules):
Code:
B60XXXXXXXXXXcbBPyyphFez4SPlQnfCXXXXXXXXXXgiRT/7JQyGhDkPM0XXXXXXXXXXuan4xcM5Aj6e87ak6Q==
It seems that is made by A-z0-9 chars, plus the / one, it has a fixed length of 88 chars and it always end with ==
The position of the / seems random, so there's no separation between the salt and the "real" hash.

I'm 100% sure it's an hashed password, I checked my cheat sheet with known password but I can't identify it.
Do you have any clues?

nested sha1

Hey guys, I have a function for generating hashes and it looks like that:

Code:
sha1($salt.sha1($str))

Is there a clever way of telling hashcat to crack such combination?

EDIT: the obvious one would be to perform sha1($str) first, but with big dictionaries it can take ages (or is there any good gpu-based software which can speed up whole process?)

What about R9 Nano? Benchmarks?

Hello Folks,

I've searched the net and this forum and couldn't find anything about R9 nano yet.

Shouldn't R9 Nano this be a nice choice because a) offering 4096 shaders and b) low power consumption?
Did use hd7990 before but the power usage is insane and then the temperature problems ... oh boy, ... looking for a fast but less power consuming alternative, currently seriously considering R9 nano but due to lacking benchmarks and experiences i am somewhat hesitating to actually buy one. ...

PDF Hash unidentified

I am having difficulty identifying a PDF hash.  I used the PDF2HASHCAT.PY approved method to obtain the hash from this file. Yet, OCLHASHCAT cannot identify it, not using any of the PDF modes.

I believe this to be a 40-bit hash, perhaps that's what the *40* means in the hash string.  Windows file properties indicate this is a PDF version 1.4 with 40-bit RC4. I'm using a brute-force attack and because it's presumably 40-bits a mask of 5 bytes (?b?b?b?b?b).

Command> oclhashcat64 -m 10500 -a 3 hashfile.hash ?b?b?b?b?b
oclHashcat v2.01 starting...

WARNING: Hashfile 'hashfile.hash' in line 1 ($pdf$1*3*40 ... ): Line-length exception
Parsed Hashes: 1/1 (100.00%)

ERROR: No hashes loaded

I can't seem to figure this out.  The hash is obtained from the PDF easy enough.  But it doesn't match any of the examples.  What am I missing?

Here is the hash, with certain portions redacted according to the forum rules.  Thanks for assistance.

$pdf$1*3*40*-4*1*16*XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX*32*XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX*13*XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

How do I know what the password is, after oclhashcat has found it?

Hello,
this is my first time with oclHashcat. It is crunching wpa2 numbers right now in the background on Windows 10 HD7600M Catalyst 15.7 with a 13 GB dictionary. The command that I used to run oclHashcat was

oclHashcat64.exe -w 3 -m 2500 capture.hccap dict

As you can see, I didn't mention an output file anywhere. I am beginning to worry that all this crunching will be meaningless if I am not able to retrieve my lost password (with my puny GPU it estimates 2 more days....)
So is there a default output file? Will it show the passphrase on the screen? Should I stop a whole night's worth of work right now and fix my mistake?
Thank you in advance!

Sample hash from website

how to understand a handshake

Im using wifite.py to get handshakes. Ive seen somewhere that people are using wireshark to check If they got googhandshake. I also used pyrit analyze command but still I dont know what should i expect... Maybe someone can explain. Ive already catched more than 50handshakes for different ssids but never cracked any of them. I think it is bad handshake rather than bad wordlist.

Is  there any command where I can specify where to start? say... 531238761, instead of 000000000?

Results collection model ?

Hello.

I'm trying to implement an OpenCL bruteforcer for a 40bit keyspace.
My goal is to write some clean code that could be used to add support for WEP40 to oclHashcat, but as it is just a matter of bruteforcing 5 bytes + RC4 + CRC32, it may only require 10min to any oclHashcat developer to do this. Anyway, this isn't a request thread.

I've got a CPU OpenMP implementation working and I would like to port it on my GPUs.
I've got some questions about the models used by oclHashcat to manage the communication between the OpenCL host (CPU) and the OpenCL device (GPU).

Am I right when I think that oclHashcat uploads a set of N words from a dictionary to an input buffer on the OpenCL device memory ?

Am I right when I think that oclHashcat writes a set of N keys directly on the OpenCL device memory when possible (e.g. with a pattern or a mask) ?

How are the results collected ?

Thank you Smile

--debug-mode 1 slowness ?

Hi,

Is there any way that --debug-file and  --debug-mode 1 can reduce the speed for MD5/NTLM/SHA1 on wordlist + rules attack ?
(1 = save finding rule)

Or my slowness is not related.

Thank you.

I have a friend willing to sell me his 5850 (fully functioning reference card only used for gaming) for a rock bottom price. I have searched the forums and I understand that the 5850 is still supported, but is it worth buying?
