IPMI2 RAKP HMAC-SHA1 oclHashcat Support?

$

So I've noticed that IPMI2 RAKP HMAC-SHA1 support is available in hashcat via "-m 7300" (for cracking IPMI hashes) but there is no support in oclHashcat (as of version 1.01). Is this something that will be added in future releases?

Thanks

If 2 hccap of the same network are different password changed?

I took an handshake a week ago and another today. The hccap files are different, I opened them with an editor.

Does it mean that the password changed?

I've a problem with oclHashcat just giving up? after a while. It looks like it finished the 9 character passwords and when it started the 10s it just...gave up.

there's nothing in dmesg or /var/log/messages that looks relevant, and top shows the process as sleeping. Hitting 'q' doesn't help, it just mocks me.

Is there a switch or log file that oclHashcat keeps that would help find the cause?

Need help with redmine hashes

Greetings All,

I am a total hashcat newbie As I am running Redmine on my server and I wanted to perform a security audit to see if I could crack some passwords of my users. I realized that hashcat 0.47 supports redmine hashes.

I just do not know what the right syntax to use? and how should i put redmine's passwords and salts? would it be like pass:salt ?

Any tips would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Session restore and Increasing the Thread Parameter

My question is about the session restore feature with regards to the parameter -n. Here is a snippit of the script that I am currently running:
Code:
hashcat-cli32.exe -m 1800 -n 2

I know and have tested that I can stop the script from running and later on restore the session. But as you can see I have the parameter -n set at 2. Is it possible to restore the session and change the -n parameter (i.e. 8)?

Hello All,

Could someone recommend a way to send daily/hourly and perhaps in case of completion alerts via email?

I am a cheap-ass hash cracker and have a mask attack running on a HD6670, there is still more then 10 days to go.

It's on ubuntu (thanks for the great wiki guide).
I log in every now and then to press s, but a regular email would be much better.

Thanks and best regards,

Help with wordlists - cracking md5(unix)

Hi
I'm cracking passwords for the first time and need some advice (all of this is being done for a security module at Uni). First of all, is oclhashcat the best to use for cracking md5(unix) hashes ? From what I have read it seems to be the best one (I have a HD6950). The only issue I'm having at the moment is I can't figure out how to load custom wordlist to be used with oclhashcat, could someone point me in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks !

first psot.

Hello

Has somebody already tried to web host hashcat? Perhaps with a php script and a free web hosting? I mean run hashcat as a web page? So you can start a "job" and just check online the progress and the result?

Thanks

oclhashcat 1.01 benchmarks fail AMD Radeon 7970

Hi,
I'm quite new to using oclhashcat so forgive me if I missed something obvious.

I just upgraded from an nVidia Quadro 2000D to a AMD Radeon HD 7970 and I am getting a problem when running the benchmark -b option.

It fails with an error in the same place every time I run it:
PS C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\oclhashcat\oclHashcat-1.01> .\oclHashcat64.exe -b
oclHashcat v1.01 starting in benchmark-mode...

I have tried a fresh install in case there was a problem with the kernels from the previous card but it has made no difference. I know someone else using the same card and the same config as me but I think they are using older oclhashcat-plus.

Other than this problem the card and oclhashcat seems to function perfectly with example scripts and the hashes I've tried.

Any suggestions much appreciated?

Andy

Hash Question

Hi guys, I'm a newby and I am watching lots of tutorials to understand the HashCat Program.

So yeah, I wanted to ask how you guys actually find the Hash Codes you want to crack. (There sure are example hash codes around, however, I need to get access to an old account of mine.)

oclHashcat will not run via SSH

I have installed the latest version of oclHashcat (1.01) with Catalyst 13.12 on a Ubuntu system. Everything works fine on the system in which I installed it but if I try to ssh into the box and then run oclHashcat, I get the following: ERROR: clGetDeviceIDs() -1. I am using the same command to crack ntlm hashes that runs fine if ssh is not used. Any idea what changes need to be made? I am using a HD 6670. Thanks in advance.

AMD A10 7850K?

The Catalyst driver (amd_13.30_rc3_linux_jan13_2014.zip) is Beta and oclHashcat (Linux) bombs with:

Device #1: Spectre, 1941MB, 720Mhz, 8MCU
ERROR: ./kernels/4098/m0900_a3.VLIW0.llvmir: No such file or directory

Is there intention to (future) support these APUs and if it is a bad idea, why?

Curious. Thanks in advance.

What GPU features are important for hash cracking?

I've seen shader units, GPU clock speed, memory clock speed, boost, pixel rate, texture rate etc but can anyone shed some light on which of these features are used and useful for hash cracking?

Thank you!

Help with NetNTLMv1

I am able to crack my password by JtR. I think I need a faster way to crack it, then I chose to use cudaHashcat, but I cannot get the password.

The plaintext password is : promise13

It is encrypted in NetNTLMv1 form, which is from FreeRadius (EAP-MSCHAPv2).

Any clues on how to crack the password on cudaHashcat?

Mac OS X 10.8-9 Issue

Dear hashcat developers,

I have an issue trying to crack a password stored in PBKDF2 (Salted SHA-512). The code number for this algorithm is "7100".

The information is extracted from the binary property list of the user where the attribute SALTED-SHA512-PBKDF2 is another binary property list. The information extracted for a password "abcd" is this:

- The iterations are 37313.
- Shalt is fa6cac1869263baa85cffc5e77a3d4ee164b75536cae26ce8547108f60e3f554.
- Entropy is
a731XXXXeXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXceafc083c6bcxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxe4625ef113b66f3xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdb3f7f14917XXXXXXXXXXXXX0aba2064XXXXX345d98c0c9a411bfd1144dd4b3c4XXXXXXX8b66d5b9abXXXXXXXXX2e103928ef21db6e25b536a60ff1XXXXXXX5be3aa7ba3a4c16b3XXXXXXXX66XXX78.

Then the result is:
$ml$37313$fa6cac1869263baa85cffc5e77a3d4ee164b75536cae26ce8547108f60e3f554$a731XXXXeXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXceafc083c6bcxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxe4625ef113b66f3xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdb3f7f14917XXXXXXXXXXXXX0aba2064XXXXX345d98c0c9a411bfd1144dd4b3c4XXXXXXX8b66d5b9abXXXXXXXXX2e103928ef21db6e25b536a60ff1XXXXXXX5be3aa7ba3a4c16b3XXXXXXXX66XXX78

First of all, the Mac OS X 10.8/0.9 hash provided as an example https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=example_hashes has an invalid entropy. It is 256 hexadecimal characters and not 128, as you can also see here: https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-1687-po...#pid10926.

Secondly the tool doesn't get a valid password, maybe I am doing something wrong, but using dave tool I get the valid password (so slow, 14 password/second):

root@kali:~/mac_root# cat hash
$ml$37313$fa6cac1869263baa85cffc5e77a3d4ee164b75536cae26ce8547108f60e3f554$a731XXXXeXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXceafc083c6bcxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxe4625ef113b66f3xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdb3f7f14917XXXXXXXXXXXXX0aba2064XXXXX345d98c0c9a411bfd1144dd4b3c4XXXXXXX8b66d5b9abXXXXXXXXX2e103928ef21db6e25b536a60ff1XXXXXXX5be3aa7ba3a4c16b3XXXXXXXX66XXX78
