Hello there,

Can anyone tell me how to stop getting duplicate entries in my potfile. Everytime I run a different rule or wordlist against a  md5 hash list if the wordlist has the same entry i get double found in pot? Please help much appreciated.

Skipping X Amount of passwords

Whats the argument to skip lets say a million passwords? I tried --skip=1000000 but that gave this error:

restore value greater keyspace

deshashing same hashes in different Sittes.

So, im planning to for example, start deshashing some hashes today in PC1 and tomorrow continue in PC2 and in 5 days Continue in PC3, its possible? if yes what files should i save/store? or how hashcat would let me do these?

Please, help identifying hash type

Hash looks like
$h$6$[a-zA-Z0-9\+]{16}$[a-zA-Z0-9\+]{87}==
Globally, looks like some kind of SHA-512, but there is $ sign, which presence confused me.
First part '[a-zA-Z0-9\+]{16}' looks like MD5, but have '+' sign in it.
Second part is similar to base64, but decoding results with unreadable characters.

Thanks in advance

MBP - memory is not enough to use?
I ask only if another one must be problem this problem using Macbook Pro. If you force a device 1 (-D 1) for use, every activity is good. However, if I moved to use the device 2 (-D 2 or -D 1.2) last run on a partition device memory and stop. Marked by the location of the standard, error occurred will be found when it got hashtype scrypt.

I for that this that are expected for a memory of small memory for device. Tôi chắc chắn chắc chắn rằng những người khác đã nhận thức về nó, và tôi sẽ gửi nó cho github vấn đề.
Even even is the hy vọng, the original action that want to be must be ignored the hashtype and continue?

hcdumptool + airodump-ng auto script

Hey, first post.

hcxdumptool is a great tool. I put together a quick script that would allow you to walk around or drive around(slowly) and collect packets, clean them up with hcxpcaptool all the while changing your mac address every 60 seconds and constantly collecting gps data through airodump-ng.

Is anyone else doing anything similar? Thoughts or suggestions?

I didn't post the actual script here, not sure if that's against the rules or not.

Let me know.

OSX 10.11 Hash HELP!

I have been trying to crack the hash of my OSX 10.11 mac using the established .plist extraction method, but even using all the correct options (as far as I know,) I get Token length exception no matter what I do! Specifically, I get this:
Code:
PS C:\Cracking\HashCat\hashcat-4.2.1> .\hashcat64.exe -m 7100 -a 0 C:\Cracking\Hashes\MyHash.txt C:\Cracking\Wordlists\rockyou.txt

I have extracted the salt, hash, and iterations from my mac's plist, and orginized them in the format
Code:
$ml$iterations$salt$entropy
and I have confirmed that my hash is extracted correctly, at least in that the iteration is a 5-digit number, the salt is a 64 character string in hex, and the entropy is a 256 character string also in hex. I have been using -m 7100, and it seems as if others cracking the same password type have had success with this, but I always recive Token length exception. The example hash for the 7100 option is a 128 character hex, but as I said, I have seen others using the 256 char hash. Do I have the wrong hash type? Or have I somehow extracted it wrong?

My hash (with a couple bits changed, but the same length) is this:

Okay so i have 2 issues, first of all i want to crack hashes directly from a
user:hash
or email:hash

Im doing some test and... seems like hashcat detects the user or email also like the hash, and it says

hello!
Please advice, i want to find binary password that will produce specific bytes of SHA1 hash
Where to change code in .CL modules to allow compare only first 8 bytes of SHA1 hash?

for example

running hashcat -m 100 -a 3 my.hash ?b?b?b?b?b
i have my.hash with
1122334455667788A1A2A3A4A5A6A7A812345678
and i want to find all 5-byte passwords where  hash will match first 8 bytes of hash
i.e. SHA1(pw5bytes) == [1122334455667788]

Thanks for helping.

I'm trying to crack an old vBulletin (2611) hash, with a salt length of 5 characters (usually they are 3 characters but this one is 5), and hashcat doesn't like it " Token length exception"

I know other people have been able to crack these with a 5 character salt length, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Help With Wordlists

$

I figured that people here would be the best to ask.

I have been searching for either software or hashcat tags that allow me to bruteforce, or make a wordlist with the following.

10 characters long with only lowercase and numbers

use only numbers between 2 and 9

Only use 2-6 numbers in the password

as an example it could be
234567abcd
or
23abcdefgh
I am making a telus specifc wordlist for default router passwords I know their is a hex generator here at
https://github.com/wpatoolkit/10-Hex-Generator
but it only generates 4-6 numbers in the password, but a lot of routers have only 2 numbers in the default password and the rest are letters.

Any help with this would be great.

Trying to figure out which video card to get

Hi,

I'm somewhat new to this forum, but I had a question on video card selection.

I'm currently trying to figure out which video card to get for my new work machine. I tried out hashcat on my main gaming machine that has a 1080 ti and it had really amazing performance. But for my work machine I need to build myself and about 4-5 others in the office some semi decent machines. Only myself and one other person work with cracking hashes etc.... But we don't really mind buying used or new, so we are currently looking at these 4 cards.

The RX 480, r9 fury gtx 970, or the gtx 1060.

It has been awhile since I've needed to buy hardware for something like this. I know since maxwell nvidia has been much better lately. I'm just curious which one of these would be the fastest. Again I'm just kind of new to the newer stuff currently out there.

Thanks.

So i just get a google cloud instance for test with k80, i install drivers with these

https://killtacknine.com/test-driving-go...h-hashcat/

After these for test, i remove the K80 and put a v100 and just run hashcat and get those numbers(ridicullus)

Code:
627 MH/s
[Image: xpD8hOg.png]

Compared to those benchmarks, i think im doing something bad

https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-6972.html

Code:
Hashmode: 2611 - vBulletin < v3.8.5

Speed.Dev.#1.....: 15978.1 MH/s (84.10ms)

Command i use

Code:
screen -L -dmS hashcat ./hashcat64.bin -m 2611 --username --potfile-path 2611.pot hashes.txt wordlist.txt

Running hashcat GPU status

Also i can do something for better performance? like what is the best attack mode for a lot hashes at a time with 300GB wordlist? im testing in Different databases hashes.

issue Combinator+hashcat-legacy

$

Hi all,

I recently needed to perform an attack while rejecting some candidates lengths.
As the rejection rule is not supported in hashcat, I used hashcat-legacy but unfortunately it seems not to work with combinator. Am I doing something wrong ?

Code:
./combinator dict1.txt dict2.txt | ./hashcat-cli64.app -m 0 hashes -a 0 --outfile results.txt -r reject.rule

The program is expecting a dictionnary, as if the piping didn't work correctly.

If such combo is not supported, any idea how to reject some plains by other means ?

Thanks !

Hash / Salt Custom Separator (Rule vs Code)

$

Hi,

I am auditing an app with a custom seperator between the hash and the salt. I can crack some by prep-ending the separator character via a rule.

Is there a faster way of doing this - would I get more performance if I modified the hash cat code for the closest module and then recompiled hashcat?

Thank you

hi folks, im having some trouble on configuring nvidia-settings in xorg. i have i7 8700k and 2x gtx 1080tis.
i would like to use integrated graphic card of i7 8700k as primary monitor where i can read and do my research stuff, 2 1080ti should only do gpu computing. Ubuntu 16.04 is the os, nvidia 390 driver is insalled. in bios integrated graphic card is enabled (igpu) , everything works fine. i have primary monitor and 2x 1080ti do hashcat on 100%, accept i cant set --cool-bits=28 in nvidia-settings which lets me overclocking and fan speed regulation of both cards. my xorg.conf gets overwritten after every boot to this:
