https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-1305.html

I seem to have problem when I run this command, it says:
sed: 1: "s/^[^a-z]*//g; s/[^a-z] ...": transform strings are not the same length

Does anyone know what this means? I am on OSX.

Thank you for your help. It is much appreciated!

Hi All,

I am going to buy a new desktop pc,

I am thinking to buy mini case: Thermaltake ARMOR A30i with 750W psu

Can it handle two Gpu cards? or is there other recommended case?

I will be glad for recommanded gpu card, I understand that GTX 970 or GTX 980 are the best?

Is there NVIDIA reference cards or its only in Amd cards ?

Thank You

Can't register on Trac

Hello everybody,

I don't know if this is the right Place or if I should have used the Contact Form, but here goes anyway:

As anyone recently tried to register for the Hashcat Trac?! Everytime I try to register (I'd like to submit a Feature Request), the Registryform tells me that I need to enter a valid Emailaddress. I tried different Addresses (Including, of course, the one I use for the Forum) but the Error remains the same. I've tried this with FireFox and Internet Explorer.

Can anyone confirm that there's a Problem or is it just me? ;-)

XFX 290 Issues

So I have a cracking box with 6 XFX r9 290s (black OC edition) and I have massive fluctuations in GPU utilization in oclHashcat. I've tried tweaking things with od6config and all the drivers and hashcat are up to date. The issue seems to show up regardless of what my clocks are set to (Stock or OC). I'll start a cracking job and things will jump between 1% and 100% utilization (and everything in between), no matter what kind of mode I'm running.

Running the benchmarks, the cards come in at 136.9 GH/s. When I'm running a regular cracking job, the cards are coming in around 60,000 MH/s.

Anyone experiencing the same issues?

Long username length in SIP digest authentication hash

$

Hi,

Using

-m 11400 = SIP digest authentication (MD5)

with Hash format:

$sip$*uri_server*uri_client*user*realm*method*uri_prefix*uri_resource*uri_suffix/md5(entityBody)*nonce*nonce_client*nonce_count*qop*directive*md5hash

I get a salt-Length exception when "user" length is longer than 12 char. In my case it has 31 char...

How could i solve it?

Thank you

If I brute by mask, for example
Code:
oclHashcat64.exe -m2500 -a3 bla bla bla ?d?d?d?d?d?d?d?d
Speed.GPU.#1...: 85396 H/s
But when I brute by dictionary, the speed is only about 65000 H/s. Why? Can it be because of bitlocker turned on?

-w and sessions

$

oclhashcat has 3 Workload Profiles:

1 = Reduced performance profile (low latency desktop)
2 = Default performance profile
3 = Tuned performance profile (high latency desktop)

It appears 3 makes the desktop almost unusable, while 1 is the best when you are using the desktop. As my computer with the best GPU is idle sometimes, and not others, is it possible to change the workload profile if you are using sessions, e.g. <oclhashcat command> --restore --session=<session name> -w {1|3} ?

Yet another "No hashes loaded"

$

Hello,

Following this guide I extracted the hash from a PDF file and changed it to fit hashcat's format. It was:

Code:
MyPDF.pdf:$pdf$4*4*128*-4*1*16*<...>*32*<...>3200000000000000000000000000000000*32*<...>:::::MyPDF.pdf

It became:

Code:
$pdf$4*4*128*-4*1*16*<...>*32*<...>3200000000000000000000000000000000*32*<...>

Yet, cudaHashCat still complains that no hashes are loaded. Yes, the path is correct (it prints out the file content). What gives?

Where was the thread about re-using cudaHashcat.dictstat?

$

I've searched the archives, but couldn't find the thread about how to re-use the cudaHashcat.dictstat file made when oclHashcat has spent a lot of time in the "Generated dictionary stats for" stage.

E.g. if I have BigDictionary1.txt, BigDictionary2.txt, BigDictionary3.txt, rather than have oclHashcat re-generate the dictionary stats each time, use the saved cudaHashcat.dictstat file as an argument along with the dictionary.

(This is for -a 0 with -r rules type attacks, no Markov involved.)

Maybe this is moot, as I see the next attacks do use the info:

Cache-hit dictionary stats

Are are the dictionaries accumulated in cudaHashcat.dictstat?

I guess this is the thread, "Wordlist keyspace caching in plus?" http://hashcat.net/forum/thread-1711.html

Is there a way to tell which dictionaries are cached there?

A few questions about the R9 290x

$

This is my first post, I have just built my first system and I need some help getting the most out of it.

I am getting 190 kh/s per 290x when brute forcing against a wpa2 hash, but I have heard people say they get over 200 kh/s per card.

Is there something I should do to optimize my system?

Also I read an article titled AMD R9 290X As Fast As Titan X in DX12 Enabled 3DMark – 33% Faster Than GTX 980.

This made me wonder if dx12 will make r9 290x faster for password cracking.

thanks
