Veracrypt with multiple keyfiles

Is it possible to have HC run multiple keyfiles? If yes how? and also will it run with all the listed keyfiles or will it run trying every combination of the keyfiles? Same for the PIM e.g. I am not sure which one I used but know it is one of 4.

Forgot how I setup my crypt and have various ways I could have made the password which I can make a password list file. I just don't remember which combo of keyfiles I used or which PIM.

Thanks

Ethereum Wallet and 1080ti trouble

Hello guys.
In another theme (https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-8000.html) i see, that a man has 14-20 h/s at the Scrypt (-m 15700) on 1080ti. But i try my 1080ti, and get only 1-2 h/s:
  • $ hashcat64.exe -m 15700 -b
  • hashcat (v5.1.0) starting in benchmark mode...

  • OpenCL Platform #1: NVIDIA Corporation

  • Speed.#1.........:        2 H/s (10199.56ms) @ Accel:1 Loops:1 Thr:1 Vec:1
On CPU i get 6 h/s. I try run bachmark on rig with 8 AMD RX580 and get 1 h/s from each card.
What's wrong? I have Win 10 and 442.19 Nvidia driver. i try 378.49 driver, but get same hashrate.
Also i have server with 2 x Xeon E5-2680v2 and Win 2019 server, but i can't install intel OpenCL runtime yet (it's installed, but not work. May be i should reboot the server). Without runtime on Xeon i get "Cannot find an OpenCL ICD loader library" message. After install runtime (v 18.1 x64) i get message "CL_PLATFORM_NOT_FOUND_KHR".

Hashcat Example Lists - Cracked them?

It's a cold and wet day here, and i'm fettling with my rig and dictionaries and it struck me, I never did actually just concentrate a bunch of effort at cracking the default example hashlists provided with the hashcat binaries so colour me curious... has anyone actually 100% cracked any of the provided hashcat lists?

Hello forum,
I am trying to figure out how to use hashcat with md5_mixalpha-numeric#1-9_32 archive. There are all in separate files of 512 MB. How can I run hashcat with these rainbow tables against an MD5 32 characters password?

Please help, I've been trying for days.

any good results with Vega GPUs?

As prices are going down, there are good deals on used Vega GPUs, I wonder if there is some one here that used them for the long term and could share the experience. I know that there are power hungry, but nothing about working over big loads.
Thanks

Session recovery with multiple gpu's

Hi forum,

Is it possible to use session recovery when you're using multiple GPU's?
I was trying it out with a 3gb wordlist and a ruleset  uson anda 10gpu rig and the checkpoint quit option. It stopped at progress 3% even though recovery progress was set to about 1,3%.

Any experiences on this? Could it be that it doesn't register all the already done hashes?(due to the tasks being split into groups per gpu)

Thanks in advance!

cap to hccapx problem [Zero value timestamps detected]

I have a problem my friends.
I got a cap files from wifislax.
Normal cap files have at least 100-200 kb sizes but this file is 1 kb
So when i convert it to  HCCAPX  it gives error at hashcat converter page

Zero value timestamps detected in file: in/1620_1581406797.cap.

This prevents correct EAPOL-Key timeout calculation.
Do not use preprocess the capture file with tools such as wpaclean.

Before i could convert this type files from below tool without a problem
https://www.onlinehashcrack.com/tools-ca...verter.php
But now this tool is under maintenance.
How can i solve this problem?
How can i convert these without getting error?

I added my cap files also.

Low power CPU

I´m building small ITX factor cracking PC just for being on 24/7, gonna install a 1080 on it, as I don't see any reliable blower fan on the RTX series.
As the system is gonna work mostly on the GPU I wonder what could be a good choice of CPU for keep the power consumption as low as possible while the system is working or on IDLE.
any suggestions?
cheers.

Hash Format for IOS 12.x and 13.x

I am trying to recover the password for an encrypted Iphone Xs backup.
I ran backup2hashcat.pl on a backup made with IOS 12.x installed on the phone and got the following hash.

$itunes_backup$*10*90683dfb61fe4d5e862b2cfa707ce24876f67b73baa8f48c30a6303e9e08d22e6f405adfa3fca640*10000*b270791330c86562134d485b61f36cdec9a7d929*10000000*428d5ce3234125d543628d32d7ab51bc1b55182a

Recently, I made another backup of the same phone on the same computer, but with IOS 13.x installed on the phone and got the following hash after running backup2hashcat.pl

$itunes_backup$*10*f3511bf3b00911d2d2bdc8b5d5aeff4890858b918b2499ab16b21eec60d2899e2c8380cf715d0ec8*10000*1aaee5a999921dbe40ed1be79f4113986d8a2783*10000000*fdc0d47c2df4a0a70a792f77ed3cfc35cc1e4e88

The encrypted password was never changed on the phone.
I want to run Hashcat on a wordlist I created with Mentalist  (I remember certain parts of the password).

What hash do I use?
Why are the hashes different?
Does backup2hashcat.pl even work on IOS 12.x or 13.x?
Does IOS 12.x or 13.x use a different hash format that needs other modifications in hashcat before I run through my wordlist?

Thanks

10-Hex-Generator

Hi, I'm using 10-Hex-Generator

Everything is working as expected but I keep losing my session.

I think it's to do with the original command. cd into 10-Hex-Generator directory then
Code:
./10hex | hashcat -m 2500 --session session-name wpa.cap

I try to restore but the session fails, hashcat starts but quits due to input being to slow.

Code:
hashcat --session session-name --restore

A basic
Code:
hashcat --restore
Also fails.

My knowledge is very limited but it stands to reason that hashcat is starting but 10-Hex isn't.
Any help appreciated
Thanks.

Does Hashcat only compare the beginning of hashes ?

Hi y'all,

I was looking at the source code to try and write some documentation about how to implement new modules and something caught my eye when looking at the COMPARE_M_SCALAR macro defined in OpenCL/inc_scalar.cl.

This macro takes 4 inputs. Now when we look at the file OpenCL/m00000_a0-oure.cl, the macro is called (line 59) with 4 integers of type u32. This is expected because m00000 is MD5 and the output of MD5 is 4 "words" of 32 bits (see rfc 1321 https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1321 ). However, when looking at the code in OpenCL/m00100_a0-pure.cl (also line 59) the macro is also called with 4 integers of type u32 even though the output of SHA1 (m00100 corresponds to SHA1) is 160 bits and therefore require 5 "words" of 32 bits. It looks to me like the fifth word is not used for the comparison at all.

Does this mean that Hashcat is actually using only a part of the produces SHA1 hash to do the comparison ?

To be fair, I'm guessing the use-case of Hashcat being to recover passwords, it is probably safe to assume that there are no two SHA1 hashes that share the same first 132bits and are produced by two strings within a reasonable range of length for passwords.

Is this really what's happening or did I miss something ?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Comrades, good day.
I think the question about the Hashcat status description that is displayed on the user's screen was discussed more than once. In the hope that You will help me, I leave this message here. Please explain in detail what this means. Thank you very much.

Typing a command:
Code:
C:\Hashcat\hashcat64.exe -m 2500 -a 3 -w 4 C:\hccapx\test.hccapx
after that, the program starts safely and performs the brut force operation.
Status:

Unfortunately, I didn't find any information on the Internet.

P.S. in order not to produce themes, please tell me another time when I want to specify a parameter for automatic status updates, for example every 30 seconds, I specify:

C:\Hashcat\hashcat64.exe -m 2500 -a 3 -w 4 --status-timer=30 C:\hccapx\test.hccapx

but, unfortunately, nothing works, i.e. the status is not automatically updated, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Mask for brut

Friends, Hello everyone. I am interested in the mask that is used for bruteforce, please tell me why Hashcat in bruteforce substitutes the mask:

Code:
Guess.Mask.......: ?1?2?2?2?2?2?2?3 [8]
Guess.Charset....: -1 ?l?d?u, -2 ?l?d, -3 ?l?d*!$@_, -4 Undefined

if I don't specify it in my request:

Code:
C:\Hashcat\hashcat64.exe -m 2500 -a 3 -w 4 C:\hccapx\test.hccapx

according to this mask, total combinations: 5533380698112
if you calculate the power of the alphabet:

?l?d?u = 62
?l?d = 36^6
?l?d*!$@_ = 41^2
62*36^6*41^2 = 5533380698112

But the question is, why is this mask, if you take the power of the alphabet, consisting of capital and small English letters, numbers and 33 characters, you will get: 26+26+10+33 = 95 the power of the alphabet and raise to a power depending on the length of the password, in my case 8, total 95^8 = 6 634 204 312 890 625 combinations.

i have 3 "Stations" with 6 gpu each connected to a server running hashcat brain, i put the commands and everything starts up as usual, but then the server idles and the Stations get stuck at "[Generating]" candidates, i already tested setting --client-features to 1 to lighten the server load, what can be done to avoid this problem? is actually the Brain feature useable?

Wallet.DAT Master Key

im trying to hash the master key of a wallet, it suposedly is a 17500 | SHA3-384 Hash but i have tested with a test wallet MKey and it wont hash the key not even if i provide the exact password, my question is, has anyone hashed a Wallet in here using this method? as bruteforcing anything above 8 characters is beyond my equipment boundaries im willing to even fork some BTC if info is given to me that leads to the recovery of my money

here's a example of what a mkey looks like, password is 6 alphanumeric characters only (q1w2e3)

Code:

Docker as in-line generator for hashcat

Some of the rather interesting password analysis and generation projects out there end up having widely varying and potentially conflicting requirements and dependencies. Usually this is the perfect situation to cram the problem into a container.

In my experience, hashcat plays really well with external programs, but I have no idea how the usual stdin interface might act in the case of a container.

Anyone have experience using the output from a container as input to hashcat? Hints or tips through the fields of pain?

Benchmark error

Hi so basically Im on windows 10 and Im using 4 GPUs AMD Radeon R9 200 / HD 7900 Series and one CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU  @ 3.20GHz 6 Cores and i am having the following error when benchmarking:
PS C:\Users\Crack\Downloads\hashcat-5.1.0> .\hashcat64.exe -b
hashcat (v5.1.0) starting in benchmark mode...

Benchmarking uses hand-optimized kernel code by default.
You can use it in your cracking session by setting the -O option.
Note: Using optimized kernel code limits the maximum supported password length.
To disable the optimized kernel code in benchmark mode, use the -w option.
