Is there any pass length workaround?

I know that the password length is 64 characters and that the most consecutive amount of characters is 2, also that the maximum occurrence of a single character is 8 times. I know that in most cases, the highest supported length is 55, but I wanted to at least give it a shot, so I tried the following:

And then it pretty much stops there. I'm not sure if this is because the keyspace is too large or the length is too large. I understand that I normally would not need to pipe in the output of maskprocessor, rather include the hcmask in the oclhashcat parameters, but I do not believe this way supports the -r and -q parameters, which in this case, are very critical to the vastness of the keyspace. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I know that the statsprocessor portion works because I tried outputting a couple of lines and it indeed worked. However, when piped to oclhashcat, the stats output something like this every 10 seconds:

After every 10 seconds, nothing at all changes except for the time in parentheses at the Time.Started line. I'm not sure if this is because the keyspace is too large or it is not doing anything :/

I know it's a short run and the GPU temperature/fan might look a little off, but that's because the GPU was already warm from a previous hashing session. After letting it settle, the fan speed comes down and the temperatures drop to an acceptable 80 C. AMD control panel shows me that the clock speed is the stock 947 MHz, so no throttling going on there. Is it me, or does this say I'm doing barely 79 kH/s?

From output above, speed of 2792 H/s can be seen and also estimated time of 3 years and 112 days (do not worry, I am not really trying to bruteforce that on my laptop).

But now if we do keyspace/ time.estimated we get speed of 77 H/s which is not 2791 H/s...  how come?

OCL HASHCAT on PC with old ATI graphic card

Hello everyone,

I am a beginner in the domain of encryption and I have  problems running OCL on my PC.
I have an PC(x86) with an 32bit Win7 and core 2 Duo @ 3 Ghz CPU, and an old ATI graphic card (ATI 2600 XT).

The question that I have for the more advanced than me how can I run the program with out errors like:

oclhascat32.exe   -  "The program can't start because OpenCL.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this program."

cudaHashcat32.exe  - "The program can't start because nvcuda.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this program."

What can I do? What should I try to make it work?

Creating mask file compliant to password policy

Hello everyone,

I have a password policy that requires a password having at least 8 chars and 3 of these charsets:

- uppercase
- lowercase
- digits
- special

Is there anything inside hashcat suite that could generate a mask file given some constrains? I can easily write a script to do that, but I just wanted to check what's the Right Way to do it.

As atom said, oclHashcat v2.10 adds supports for FPGA. Does that mean that just run the OpenCL kernels on FPGA?

Running oclHashcat on such device?

As far as I am concerned, the biggest FPGA company Xilinx doesn't release any software that supports OpenCL. Maybe in the future, the SDAccel of Xilinx can run OpenCL on its FPGAs. 

I'm not familiar with Altera, and I think the performance of Altera's FPGAs is lower than Xilinx's FPGAs.

But so far, is there any instance of running oclHashcat on FPGA or some guides to do this?

Hey guys 

normaly i use my main pc to encypt the hash but i want to use my notebook too

the problem is my gpu heat goes to 90°c and this is to much,


i try to speed up my fans but i cant the nvidia cooling controlls are disabled  like speed fan and other tools.

the notbook isnt selfbuild but i think the connecktet the cpu and gpu cooling or something like that so i cant control it manualy.

so   what i want to know :  
u know a command to order hashcat dont use the full power of my gpu?  maybe 90% ? 
i saw the commands like  gpu temp disable  abbort  but nothing other  : (

i7-4810MQ 2.80

maybe u have other ideas to fix this problem :  )

I'm using oclHashcat 2.01, and I find trouble when deal with $RAR3$*1*.

I tried $RAR3$*0* is ok. But these rar without open passoword I user rar2join and i get hash like this (I puzzy some real code):

Scrape Twitter hashtags

In the attempt to find better words, I created a scraper for Twitter hashtags.
Personally, I find hashtags pretty interesting: they reflect words and "way of saying" that could be easily used for password. Moreover they are quite long, so they can give some suggestions for password candidates that are out of the reach of brute force attacks.
We could achieve the same result by combining dictionary words, but I think this is a faster method; we know for sure that such combination was used at least once.

Dear all,
at the moment I am looking to the reference GTX 980 ti graphic cards that comes with a non reference cooler(which is quite loud at full load).
As an example EVGA has ones with a stock NVDIA cooler: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.asp...P4-4990-KR
And with NVDIA PCB but not a stock cooler: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.asp...P4-4991-KR
From the documentation both of this cards are with a stock clocks. 

So question is, should I go for a video card that was manufactured fully by NVDIA, or it is also not that bad option to go for EVGA GPU that was manufactured on the NVDIA PCB, but no with that noisy fan?

I have a computer running OS X 10.11 that I need the password to. I can't find a guide online as to how to extract the hash to plug into oclHashcat and hopefully crack it. Can anyone help me get the password hash into oclHashcat?

The status is "cracked" as expected but --show doesnt work.

I saw another thread for it saying that if you are in windows you need to download gawk and run another command but i have no idea what to do after downloading and installing gawk. The command given doesnt work.

hello i introduce my self to your genius comunity and i want to ask myself a simple question...i have a rig with gtx970 currently installed ...i am currently mining cryptocurrencies(this weekTongue)so i would like to make a small investment in a new graphics card(r9 290)...but i am also using hashcat now and then so i said to check also with you guys if is anyway to run the computational power from both cards....in mining this thing is possyble using opencl ant not cuda version,but i think here is different for some reason????please any help would be greatly appreciate!!!
