My friend's father recently died, without telling anyone his master password. I offered to help her by retrieving it.
Her father used Password Padlock, a Windows 10 app. I am trying to determine how to extract the hash. I downloaded the application, and created a new file.
Saved passwords are stored in a file called PasswordPadlock.data (an example attached) in %localappdata%\Packages\12409gkcSoft.PasswordPadlock_yn37gngqdbrqw\LocalState. However, even if I delete that file, the application remembers my master password. That means the master password's hash must be stored somewhere else, although I cannot find it.
Does anyone know where the hash for the master password is stored, and how I could go about extracting it? Thank you.
